Description

Bergamot is a small citrus fruit (Citrus bergamia) cultivated primarily in southern Italy, especially in the Calabria region, which produces around 90% of the world's bergamot harvest. This area’s warm, humid, and sunny climate provides ideal conditions for these aromatic fruits to thrive. Bergamot is believed to be a natural hybrid between a bitter orange and a lemon tree. 

The essential oil is extracted from the fresh peel of the fruit through cold pressing, a method that preserves the oil’s rich content of volatile compounds — the source of its intense aroma and uplifting properties. Around 200 kg of peel is required to produce just one kilogram of oil, making every drop especially precious. 

Interestingly, bergamot oil has long been valued not only in perfumery and aromatherapy but also in the world of tea — it’s what gives Earl Grey its distinctive flavour and fragrance. This is an aroma where the playful brightness of citrus meets refined, timeless elegance. 
How to use?

Diffusion: 
A few drops of bergamot essential oil will give your home a wonderful fresh aroma. During the day, add 6–8 drops of essential oil into a diffuser; for nighttime, use 3–4 drops.  

Before bedtime, be sure to try the duo of bergamot (3 drops) and lavender (2 drops) — this beautifully fragrant synergy is perfect for evening rituals.  

For a romantic evening with your loved one, blend bergamot essential oil (4 drops) with ylang-ylang essential oil (2 drops). 

Body care: 
Enrich your cosmetic products with bergamot essential oil! Make wonderfully scented hand soap by adding 20 drops of pure bergamot essential oil to 200 ml of unscented liquid soap and shake the bottle well to distribute the oil evenly. 

To deodorize the body, add a few drops of bergamot essential oil to a small amount of shower gel, cleansing oil, or facial wash. This is especially suitable for oily skin prone to pimples, blackheads, and inflammation. 

You can also add a few drops of bergamot oil to unscented body lotion, or oil. Indulge in a wonderfully aromatic treat! 

Massage: 
For a relaxing aromatherapy massage (for adults), add no more than 10 drops of bergamot essential oil to 50 ml of carrier oil (e.g., sweet almond or camellia oil). 

Immerse yourself in fields of lavender: 50 ml of carrier oil (e.g., sweet almond or camellia oil) + 4 drops of lavender essential oil + 6 drops of bergamot essential oil. 

For an erotic, passion-inspiring massage, try this recipe: 50 ml of sweet almond (or other carrier) oil + 2 drops of jasmine essential oil + 2 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil + 8 drops of bergamot essential oil. Attention! Never apply blends containing essential oils to the genital area — essential oils can irritate sensitive skin and damage mucous membranes! 

Household: 
Give your home an unforgettable aroma and extra cleanliness! Add 6–10 drops of bergamot essential oil to a bucket of water you plan to use for cleaning floors or other surfaces. Dampen a cloth and wipe the surfaces. This is especially useful if you have a crawling baby who often plays on the floor. 

Important! 

After any skin procedures using bergamot essential oil, avoid sun exposure for at least 12 hours (unless the areas treated with bergamot oil are covered). We recommend adding essential oils to a small amount of cosmetic product. If you add fragrant drops to the entire container, essential oils can alter the consistency of the product.
