Sweet Almond Oil

Did you know that almonds aren’t actually nuts, even though they’re often called that?  

Botanically, the almond is a seed — specifically, the edible seed of a stone fruit. The fruit of the almond tree resembles a plum: it has a soft outer flesh and a hard inner shell. The seed inside that shell is what we commonly refer to as the almond. Because of this, sweet almond oil is suitable even for people who cannot use nut-based products.  

Pure, cold-pressed sweet almond oil is one of the most popular oils in skincare thanks to its many beneficial properties. It’s a fantastic emollient for the whole family, even for the most sensitive skin. Almond oil generously nourishes, softens, and soothes the skin, locks in moisture in both skin and hair, and helps maintain elasticity.   

Its texture is rich and oily, but it is non-comedogenic. While it may be a bit heavy for facial use, it is ideal for massages, as it absorbs slowly into the skin. It’s especially beneficial for sensitive, dry, or flaky skin. The oil is rich in vitamin E.  

It can also be used as a natural makeup remover — it gently and effectively removes makeup without irritating the eyes, leaving skin clean, moisturized, and soft. Also suitable for hair oil treatments.
