This essential oil is especially valued for household use: it can be used for cleaning surfaces and floors, refreshing laundry, and enhancing natural cleaning products. It helps combat unpleasant odors and mold, supporting a hygienic home atmosphere.

Description

Tea tree essential oil has likely already found its place in your home. It is one of those scents we recognize instantly: strong, fresh, and reminiscent of cleanliness and order. A small amount can become a powerful helper around the house — enriching water for floor cleaning, refreshing laundry, or helping combat unpleasant odors or even mold.

This essential oil is made from tea tree leaves grown in Australia. But did you know why it’s called “tea tree”?

The legend dates back to the 18th century, when the famous British explorer James Cook and his crew discovered this remarkable plant while exploring the distant coast of Australia. The local Aboriginal people had already used these fragrant leaves for various purposes for centuries. Inspired by their experience and lacking regular tea, the sailors began brewing a strong, slightly astringent infusion from the tea tree leaves — giving the plant its symbolic name, tea tree.

Thus, not only the name was born, but also the long-standing reputation of this plant as a natural and reliable ally for cleanliness in our homes.

How to use?

Household use:
For cleaning floors and surfaces: add 6–10 drops of tea tree oil to a bucket of water. Use this solution to mop floors or clean surfaces — your home will instantly feel fresh and clean.

To freshen laundry: add a few drops to your laundry rinse or a dryer sheet. This helps neutralize unpleasant odors and gives laundry a clean, fresh scent.

For mold treatment: add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to a spray bottle with water and spray onto affected areas.

Warnings
  • Do not apply pure (undiluted) essential oils directly to the skin, as they may cause severe irritation or burns.
  • Do not ingest or take essential oils internally (unless prescribed by your doctor).
  • Do not add pure (undiluted) essential oils directly to bath water, as this may cause serious skin irritation or burns.
  • Never use essential oils in an inhaler. This device breaks essential oils into micro-particles that go directly into the lung alveoli. Such use can cause severe mucous membrane irritation, bronchospasm, or even chemical pneumonia.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
  • For infants and children, use only age-appropriate essential oils.
  • Use essential oils sparingly—the main principle of aromatherapy is “less is more.”
  • Keep essential oils out of sight and reach of children.
  • Store bottles in a dark, cool, and dry place, as exposure to environmental factors can alter or reduce the properties of essential oils.
